Dear Partner of Sergelt Ood,
And just like that – we have come to the end of yet another year!
We look back with joy, gladness and gratefulness; we made it through another year!
Grateful that we could continue reaching out to the homeless people groups through our Drop-in Bus project. Our Community House (rehab-reintegration project) is fully operating with people participating and graduating. Also, finally our neighborhood can get a good cup of coffee as our Coffeehouse opened its doors this summer!

HEARTWORKING PEOPLE Grateful for our dedicated heartworking people, all playing their significant part: our team of staff, board and volunteers. Grateful for you, your partnership and the support you have been giving us in so many various ways! Grateful to God who has sustained us and who is the One who brings the work to fruition. |

Mongolian and Korean medical specialists joined together last August to serve homeless and vulnerable people of 8 local organizations to a free-of-charge treatment day at our centre. What a blessing! |

Drop-in Bus project & Christmas with our two homeless people groups |
LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS At the same time this year there were again the heartbreaks and the sadness. This is our reality; as long as our work continues, there is this mix: Sadness over the brokenness of lives stuck in homelessness, addiction and darkness. And Joy when we see glimpses of hope and victory when there are people slowly but surely being transformed, breaking out of their oppression. In them Christmas is happening!: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.”— John 1:5,9 — |

Christmas at our Community House with 10 participants |
This weekend many people around the world are celebrating the birth of Jesus: Light and Hope for everyone. The reason why we never give up. The Darkness and the Wrong may often seem to have the upper hand, but every year Christmas reminds us that is a lie. It shall fail and its final defeat is near. Christmas brings us hope of good tidings: ‘God is not dead, nor doth He sleep; The Wrong shall fail, The Right prevail, With peace on earth, good-will to men.’ |
Once more, thank you so much for your invaluable participation in our work; through a financial donation or in kind, through practical help, through volunteering or your prayers. We cannot do this without you and we look forward to another year together with you! From all of us at SERGELT OOD we wish you and your loved ones a Christmas full of Hope, Joy and Light & a blessed 2024! Corrie van der Esch |
